Bald Eagle, Drewry Lake, South Cariboo, BC
The northeast end of Drewry Lake is quite shallow and not very good for fishing, so mostly I don’t even bother to put a line in when I’m out on the water with my Zodiak. But I have my camera ready to capture a view like this one. I stopped my (electric) motor about 50m from shore and let the boat drift until I was only meters away from this magnificent bird. Seconds later he took off ... I’d come too close.
